Cardiovascular/EKG Technician

UEI College's Cardiovascular/EKG Technician program can provide you with the technical and administrative skills to pursue work in hospitals, heart centers, physicians' offices and clinics.

The curriculum for this program focuses on electrocardiography with cardiovascular courses in topics such as rhythm interpretation and systematic rhythm analysis. Our courses will prepare you to be able to perform necessary duties as a cardiovascular technician, such as:

Administering EKGs
Performing stress tests
Assisting physicians with patient treatment
Using a Holter monitor
Scheduling patient appointments

The U.S. Department of Labor's 2010-2011 edition of the Occupational Outlook Handbook predicts that the demand for qualified cardiovascular/EKG technicians will increase by 24% through 2018.
