Program overview
Vocational nurses can work in a wide variety of settings and handle a number of tasks in doctors’ offices, clinics, nursing homes and hospitals. They work with patients and also handle administrative duties and medical records. Vocational nurses work under physicians and RNs as a vital member of a healthcare team. With our program, you can learn to:
- Assist patients in basic hygienic care
- Observe patients for changes in their condition
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Take patient vital signs like heart rate, respirations and blood pressure
- Handle vital medical records
- And so much more!
