Frequently Asked Questions about UEI

Do you have questions about enrolling in a career training program at UEI? Read on for answers to our most frequently asked questions.

Q: How long does it take to complete a program at UEI?
A: Program lengths vary depending upon your area of study. Generally speaking, our diploma classes can be completed in as few as 8 or 9 months, and an Associate degree program in about 16 months.

Q: What sort of education and training will I receive?
A: All of our programs at UEI are designed to combine practical knowledge and basic skills that you can apply at work in your field of interest. We emphasize hands-on training and practice, to give you experience and build your confidence before you graduate.  Our education is career-focused, which also means that you don’t take unnecessary or elective classes simply to meet class hour requirements.

Q: What are the benefits of a UEI program?
A: No matter what field interests you, your job prospects will improve as you add education and experience to your resume. Many employers look for basic skill sets before considering your eligibility for hiring. Check out the Bureau of Labor Statistics links for job growth and possible employment opportunities on each of our program pages. We also invite you to contact us to discuss your goals and possible outcomes for the career you are considering. Contact us.

Our Career Services department is also available to help you with your job search as you near graduation. To learn more about the Career Services department, click here.

Q: Is UEI accredited?
A: Absolutely. Each of our campuses is accredited by a national education accrediting agency. Visit our About UEI page to learn more.

Q: How can I work, spend time with my family and complete my education at the same time?
A:
Many of our programs offer convenient day and evening training sessions so you can schedule classes that best fit your schedule.  Talk to a UEI admissions professional about the program schedules offered near you. Contact us.

Q: How can I pay for my education?
A: Financial aid is available for those who qualify. A member of our Financial Planning department can help you determine your eligibility, discuss your payment options and fill out the required forms. To learn more about our financial aid, click here.

Q: Are there any prerequisites for admission into a UEI program?
A: If you are under 18, you will need to submit proof of your high school graduation or GED. If you are a high school graduate, simply follow our admissions guidelines. Ask about which of our programs do not require a high school diploma for you to be admitted. Contact us.

Q: Will I know what classes I need to take before I get started?
A: Your UEI admissions professional can answer your questions about the courses you will need to take to complete your program of interest, and help you map out your career education plan from the start.

Q: When can I begin my education?
A: Depending upon the program you choose, classes to begin your education plan may be starting soon. Contact us today so we can assist you in completing the application and enrollment process quickly.
