IEC Offers Support to Students and Staff of Corinthian Colleges

IRVINE, Calif., April 27, 2015 — On Monday, April 27, 2015, International Education Corporation, the parent company of UEI College and Florida Career College, announced its plan to offer help to displaced Everest, WyoTech and Heald College students and staff.

On April 26,, 2015, Corinthian Colleges, the parent company of Everest, WyoTech and Heald Colleges, announced the closure of its remaining 28 campus based locations, displacing an estimated 16,000 current students. “We are certainly troubled to see the abrupt closure of so many Everest, WyoTech and Heald Colleges in many cities in California as well in Phoenix, AZ,” said Dr. Fardad Fateri, President & CEO of International Education Corporation.

Dr. Fateri adds, “Everest, WyoTech, and Heald Colleges do have excellent students who deserve to have access to excellent training, education and services to help them complete their programs and we are here, available and ready to help support these students in transferring to a UEI College campus closest to them.”

UEI College is offering the opportunity to transfer applicable credits to students who qualify. Additionally, UEI College has created a scholarship for transferring Everest, WyoTech and Heald College students who may be eligible for up to $1,000 to help cover the cost of their education.

Dr. Fateri also comments, “UEI College is the only postsecondary system in California with campuses in very close proximity of the majority of the Everest, Heald and WyoTech Colleges, therefore, it is likely there is a UEI College campus close to students in search of a college to complete their programs of study.”

All students wishing to transfer to a UEI College should call 1-800-DIAL-UEI and/or visit www.uei.edu.
Lastly, Dr. Fateri mentions that all staff, faculty and managers at Everest, WyoTech and Heald Colleges who wish to explore employment opportunities with UEI College, please call Kelli Mechling at 949-272-7259 or visit our website at www.ieccolleges.com.
