About This Program

UEI College’s Pharmacy Technician Program trains students in smaller, comfortable classrooms and labs that are set up to simulate the real-world environment that pharmacy technicians will work in. This allows students to practice the skills and techniques they’ve learned using real equipment, preparing them for what to expect in the real world, allowing them to become valuable team members on day one.

Moreover, the program teaches students common terms used in the industry while providing hands-on training across various pharmacy types, including retail, hospital, mail order, and long-term care pharmacies.

The great thing about the program is that students are required to complete an externship prior to graduating. The externship is usually performed with an approved local employer, allowing students to practice the skills and techniques they’ve learned in a real world setting with a potential employer.
