About This Program
Maneuvering through the world of medical records, patient claims, and insurance coding can be difficult, sometimes leading to a delay in patients getting the care they need. Through training in the West Covina Medical Billing and Insurance Coding program at UEI College, you can develop the knowledge and skills needed to help people through this process so they have better access to the healthcare system at large. Through this program, students also develop marketable skills that ensure medical professionals are reimbursed for their services. Classes in insurance billing, procedural and diagnostic coding, medical billing and collections, and even medical law and ethics — plus real-world experience through UEI’s externship program — prepares students for entry-level positions in hospitals, healthcare clinics, and medical records and billing companies.
