California Assemblymember Laurie Davies, who recently awarded “2024 Legislator of the Year” by the Orange County Business Council visited UEI College in Oceanside (which is in her District 74). She presented the campus with a certificate of recognition for “excellence in vocational training for healthcare and trades” and “building the future workforce”.
The Assemblywoman was highly engaged with the students. One student even came by on his off-day of class just to meet her. As the Vice Chair of Military Affairs, she was particularly interested in talking with UEI’s VA students. Also, as an advocate of getting women involved in trades, she was happy to chat with a female automotive student.
