UEI Stone Mountain campus's largest graduation with inspiring remarks from Commissioner Chakira Johnson and Dr. Edward McDonald

Celebrating a Historic Milestone: Stone Mountain’s Largest Graduating Class

It was a momentous day at our Stone Mountain campus as we celebrated the largest graduating class in our history! The energy, pride, and excitement were truly unmatched as students, families, and community members gathered to honor this incredible achievement.

To recognize the hard work of the Class of 2026, DeKalb County Commissioner Chakira Johnson shared an inspiring video message with our graduates and their families.

Commissioner Johnson offered powerful words of encouragement for our new alumni, highlighting the impact they are about to make:

  • “As you enter the workforce, remember that your education has prepared you for more than a job. It has prepared you for a career… Your work will serve an important purpose in our community.”
  • “The careers you are pursuing are essential, and your contributions will help strengthen families, businesses, and neighborhoods throughout DeKalb County and beyond.”
  • “Today, you have proven that dedication and resilience can open doors to opportunity.”

Adding to the joyous celebration, we were honored to welcome Dr. Edward McDonald to the stage. As a local dental employer who has hired many of our Dental Assistant graduates, Dr. McDonald is a fantastic community partner. Stepping in on short notice, he answered the call to encourage the Class of 2026. He delivered heartfelt remarks about the immense value of their hands-on training and the bright opportunities that lie ahead in their respective fields.

We are incredibly proud of every single student who walked across the stage. Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on this historic milestone! We cannot wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish next.
