Bakersfield Trade School FAQs

The cost of a trade school will vary depending on the school and the program you select. Most of our career training programs are short-term, allowing students to earn a diploma in as few as 10 months! That said, there are several factors that can influence the price of trade school in California, such as:

  • Program type
  • School location
  • Program length
  • Financial aid availability

At UEI, we work with students to help them find a program that fits their needs and interests. We also help students apply for financial aid, which is available to those who qualify, allowing them to find routes that can make the cost of attending a Bakersfield trade school more affordable.

Compared to a traditional 4-year college that earns you a bachelor’s degree, attending a trade school is often much more affordable, considering the shorter duration of our programs. However, trade school students must also factor in additional expenses, such as books, materials, supplies, and certification exams, when estimating the cost of attending a vocational school.
