    About the Program

In this 12-hour course, you will be required to complete the coronal polishing in a laboratory and clinical setting following the Boards minimum standards of infection control. You’ll also complete three typodont experiences and three clinical experiences (the last two clinical experiences will be used for the clinical exam). Coronal polishing theory and procedures are taught, a hands-on procedure in which plaque and stains on the surfaces of the teeth are removed from the coronal surfaces of the teeth. Completion of Coronal Polishing requirements will permit the assistant to perform the procedure after obtaining the Registered Dental Assistant license.
