About This Program
Earn a career helping people get the medical services they need while assisting them with billing and insurance reimbursement. Prepare for an entry-level career in healthcare with the Medical Billing and Insurance Coding (MBIC) program at UEI College in Gardena. In as few as 10 months, the MBIC program will provide you with the knowledge, lab training and real-world experience you need to develop the level of detailed insurance coding and medical documentation skills employers look for. With an externship opportunity at a local employer at the end of your program, you can be secure in your skills when you graduate. Gain confidence in your new career by developing a deeper knowledge of billing systems, medical law and ethics, diagnostic coding, third-party payer requirements, and even medical office procedures, helping ensure you start your new career off on the right foot.
