Riverside City Councilmember Clarissa Cervantes inspired UEI graduates at the first 2026 graduation ceremony.

UEI College in Riverside proudly celebrated its first graduation ceremony of 2026, welcoming City of Riverside Councilmember Clarissa Cervantes as the keynote speaker for the special occasion.

Councilmember Cervantes delivered a deeply personal and motivating address, sharing her own journey and reflecting on moments when others encouraged her not to stay “small,” recognizing her potential even before she fully recognized it herself. Her story resonated with graduates as they reflected on their own paths and the perseverance that brought them to this milestone.

Throughout her remarks, Councilmember Cervantes emphasized the importance of self-belief, courage, and embracing opportunities for growth—especially during moments of uncertainty or self-doubt.

She concluded with a powerful call to action that left a lasting impression on the graduating class:

“Stay brave, stay courageous,” she told graduates. “Don’t forget—you are no longer allowed to play small!”

The ceremony marked not only an academic achievement, but also a moment of transformation, as graduates were encouraged to step confidently into their futures and pursue their goals with purpose and confidence. UEI Riverside is proud to celebrate its graduates as they move forward prepared to make an impact in their careers and communities.
