Service and Resilience: Congressman Derek Tran Addresses the Garden Grove Class of 2026
A packed, two-story venue filled with cheering family, friends, and supporters set the stage for what is UEI College Garden Grove’s largest graduation yet! More than 200 graduates celebrated their massive achievements alongside a very special guest.
We had the distinct honor of welcoming Congressman Derek Tran as our keynote speaker. He captivated the audience by sharing his powerful personal journey from being the son of refugees to serving in Congress. His inspiring message focused heavily on the power of perseverance, the undeniable value of career education, and the importance of using your newly acquired skills to serve others.
In a truly memorable moment, he presented every single graduate with a personalized congressional letter of recognition as they walked to accept their diplomas. We were also thrilled to have District Director Cody Mendoza in attendance for the festivities.
