Chris Callisto, Campus President at United Education Institute in Albuquerque, was an in-studio guest on “New Mexico Living” talking about all that UEI has to offer.

Preparing students for successful careers in high-demanding fields. United Education Institute is a national leader in career-focused education, and they’re opening a new campus right here in the Duke City. Lucky us. So we’re joined by campus president Chris Callisto, getting an overview of what United Education Institute offers. That includes a wide variety of hands-on training programs that are setting students up for success outside of the classroom, which is what we want. Chris, welcome to the show. Thanks for joining us.
All aspects of life. We have students that are coming back to education because they’re changing transition careers. We have students that are starting new careers coming out of high school. We have folks that kind of went directly into the workplace and now they want a better opportunity. And, you know, I wanted to go back also and kind of focus the allied health as well as trade programs. So direct placement.
For our particular student, depending on which category they are in, their end goal is being put into the field. So that really helps us focus on their goal, and they don’t have to go through all those extras. They learn specifically what that employer is looking for and what skills they need. That’s a spectacular model to have right there. I love it so much. And these programs can be completed in as little as 10 months, you say? As little as 10 months. It can extend if the next year goes a little longer, but the reality of it is for most students,
Especially when they’re coming and going to school, they want to get something quick. They want to get it to where they can go directly to work, and they want it to where it’s going to fit their needs. And for a student that works with our students, they have families, they have jobs, they have all these other things going on. So the format of this program makes it majority of my students work, come to school, and then at the end they get placed in the career field they’re looking for. How beautiful is that flexibility, whether you’re coming out of high school or someone who has a family, who has a job, who’s looking to change careers, and they need that education. You’ll get that at United Education Institute.
