The winter 2025 graduation ceremony for UEI College West Covina was made even more memorable by the presence of Councilmember Rosario Diaz, who served as the event’s keynote speaker and brought warmth, encouragement, and genuine pride to the celebration.

Her remarks reflected a deep appreciation for the perseverance and determination demonstrated by the Class of 2025, as well as the families and faculty who supported them along the way.

“The road you have chosen required a lot of self-discipline, determination, and sacrifice on your part to get where you are today,” she shared. “You stayed the course and fought a good fight, and it was worth it.”

Councilmember Diaz also expressed her pride in the campus and its role in the community, saying, “We are so proud to have UEI in West Covina!” Her message resonated deeply as she spoke about the emotional significance of graduation—not just for students, but for the families who stood beside them throughout their journey.

“I get emotional because I’m so happy for you guys and your families are so proud of you,” she said. “You did it, and you’re going to move on, you’re going to be strong, and you’re going to be successful.”

In a gesture that exemplified her commitment to the graduates, Councilmember Diaz stayed through the entire ceremony and personally shook hands with every graduate—an unforgettable moment that added a personal touch to an already meaningful day.
